Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney division is seeking a skilled Machine Tool Services Technician onsite in Middletown, PA. You will perform advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs on production equipment, and carry out routine preventative maintenance to keep machines operating reliably.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and lifts, maintaining cleanup and hygiene, handling waste per EHS guidelines, documenting usage and repairs, and training junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proficient with use of hand tools and equipment.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Candidate is responsible for predictive, preventative, corrective, basic care, and emergency maintenance on a variety of mechanical and systems to ensure safe, efficient and continuous plant production to include.
• Perform and document advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs on production equipment and perform and document routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and maintain fluid levels and change filters in machinery, document usage, and monitor inventory
• Operate forklifts and aerial lifts as required, including pre-operational inspection and log
• Prepare waste material containers for shipment per EHS guideline, including proper labeling and documentation
• Operate and maintain fluids filtration equipment, clean and wipe down machinery, remove the buildup of process swarf, grit, and fragments in machines and tanks and report defects, damages, and malfunctions of any kind to the supervisor and completion of Machine Tool Services Technician Requirements
• Complying with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHA) while working
• Adhere to all EH&S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment
• May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.

• HS Diploma/GED and 4+ years relevant experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• General mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Position requires basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or fluid power systems.Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, and Power Point) required, strong written & verbal communication skills

• The willingness and ability to train junior technicians
