Job summary

RTX in Middletown, NY seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform scheduled maintenance, respond to production emergencies, operate machines and read blueprints.

The role includes MIG/TIG welding, basic machining, and troubleshooting with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. A high school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience is required, with opportunities for overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular scheduled maintenance
• Respond to production emergencies
• Perform regular machine checks, schedule and perform repairs
• Operate production machines and equipment
• Check operation of support/facilities equipment
• General facilities maintenance (plumbing, electrical wiring)
• Independently handle projects from start to finish (materials, fabrication/installation and implementation)
• MIG/ TIG Welding
• Basic machining
• Knowledge of use of precision measuring devices
• Ability to troubleshoot and read blueprints
• Excellent mechanical abilities
• Ability to prioritize and adjust schedule to meet production needs
• Good communication skills, following verbal and written instructions
• Work organized, clean and detailed
• Quick learner, self-starter, minimal supervision required
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible, available for OT
• Good attendance
• The scheduled shift is Sunday at 10:50 PM through Friday at 7:00 AM.

Qualifications You Must Have

Qualifications We Prefer

• CNC & PLC knowledge, A/C and refrigeration, vacuum systems
• 5+ years’ experience with 3+ years Low Pressure Plasma Spray a plus
• Knowledge of Pneumatic systems
• Ability to fabricate sheet metal, piping, etc.

  The salary range for this role is $24.74 - $46.41. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
