Job summary

Motor Controls Inc. in Dallas, TX is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.

This role emphasizes safety, predictive maintenance, and teamwork in a hands-on environment that rewards practical problem solving. You will work with CNC equipment, robotics, PLCs, HVAC, pumps and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance and uptime improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience with CNC equipment and welding robots preferred.
• Experience with 480V 3-phase power.
• Experience implementing a preventive maintenance program preferred.
• Familiar with CMMS software.
• Proficient in TIG/MIG welding repair preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Programming experience in PLC's, VFD's, SQ Ds, MDR conveyors and data logic troubleshooting.
• Install necessary PLC updates, programming and troubleshooting.
• HVAC experience to diagnose Ac/Heating systems.
• Industrial Oven qualified to troubleshoot errors.
• Read electrical diagrams and diagnose high power 480-volt systems.
• Provide 110–480V power from main source to other equipment.
• Experience with Laser cutter machinery.
• Install or upgrade machines and electrical networks for production.
• Electromechanical maintenance and production machines upkeep.
• Wiring of rotating and special machines.
• Troubleshoot automation systems and handling equipment (hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic).
• Program robot movements and update robot control code.
• Regular upkeep and repairs on robotic equipment.
• Set up and integrate robotic systems in various environments.
• Troubleshoot to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
• Check buildings and mechanical systems for health and safety standards.

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This position is physically challenging, requiring upper body strength and stamina.

Scope

Performs a variety of duties related to building and mechanical systems maintenance using hand and power tools, climbing, repairing circuit breakers, HVAC, plumbing and alarms system among other general grounds upkeep duties. The successful candidate must be able to perform tasks such as repair a bandsaw, stripe a parking lot, help repair a commercial HVAC system, unclog a sandblasting tool, and change a light bulb. We also require a professional attitude, a practical mind and great attention to detail. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and responsibly observe all health and safety guidelines.

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
• CNC equipment including Trumpf Lasers and Press Brakes preferred
• Welding robots including ABB and Yaskawa Motoman Robots preferred
• Working with 480v, 3ph power
• Experience implementing a preventative Maintenance program a bonus Proficiency in using CMMS/Computerized Maintenance Management System a bonus
• TIG and MIG welder repair preferred
• Hand tools, power tools safe operation

• Experience in Laser cutter machinery
• Possess various experience in Installation of machines and electrical network production and team management
• Electromechanical maintenance and maintenance of production machines
• Wiring of rotating and special machines
• Experience in troubleshooting automation systems / handling equipment. hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
• Robot Programmer Writing and updating code to control robot movements and functions.
• Performs regular upkeep and repairs on robotic equipment.
• Setting up and integrating robotic systems in various work environments.
• Troubleshooter: Identifying and resolving issues with robotic systems to minimize downtime.
• Safety Monitor: Ensuring robotic operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Integrated Systems Troubleshooting, and resolving issues in complex systems combining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Regularly check buildings, and mechanical, plumbing and other general systems to ensure they function properly and meet health and safety standards.
