Job summary

Silgan Containers in Edison, New Jersey seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a diverse team of technicians and machinists in a high-speed manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance supervision in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide a team of maintenance staff including technicians, electricians, machinists, and millwrights.
• Ensure safety standards and policies are followed while coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to optimize operations.
