Job summary

Sonoco is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech in West Chester, OH. The role offers $31.80-$44.15 per hour with a $0.75 second-shift differential.

You will perform proactive maintenance to ensure timely, quality shipments and contribute to a culture focused on safety, quality, and productivity. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will install and maintain equipment, assist teammates, and lead small projects while upholding Sonoco's commitment to people and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial environments or military service.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and motor controls preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work off-shift with overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assist and train maintenance personnel with repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments for proactive problem resolution.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to upgrade or maintain equipment.
• Support Sonoco's quality and safety policies.

Wage: $31.80 - $44.15 (depending on experience)

Shift: 2nd ($0.75 shift differential for 2nd)

While reporting directly to the Plant Engineer, as an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, specifically proactive tasks, necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assisting/trainingother maintenance personnel with repairs, PM's, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating closely with other departments and teamsfor proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco's quality and safety policies.

• You have experience in an industrial environment or military experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred.
• Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends.
