Job summary

Sonoco in West Chester, OH is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech to support proactive maintenance, safety, and timely production. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will install and repair equipment, troubleshoot PLCs, and collaborate with teams to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires industrial experience or military background, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work rotating shifts with overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment or military experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting; industrial and motor controls preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work off-shift with overtime.
• Works independently and manages multiple tasks on rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PMs, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating with other departments for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
• Performing duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

Position: Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech

Location: West Chester, OH

Wage: $31.80 - $44.15 (depending on experience)

Shift: 2nd ($0.75 shift differential for 2nd)

While reporting directly to the Plant Engineer, as an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, specifically proactive tasks, necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Sonoco products. We’d love to hear from you if: You have experience in an industrial environment or military experience. Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment. Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred. Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs. Working independently and managing multiple tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends.
