Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to direct daily activities of hourly staff, ensuring safe, efficient maintenance operations. You will plan work orders, schedule resources, and maintain CMMS documentation to optimize plant performance.

The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and coordination with operations, while ensuring compliance with GMP and company policies. Flexibility for outages and on-call duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree is required; a bachelor’s in engineering is preferred.
• Five years of experience in industrial maintenance required.
• One to three years of planning and scheduling experience desired.
• SAP experience is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Provide first-line supervision for maintenance hourly employees and oversee in-plant equipment.
• Develop and manage daily and weekly planned work schedules for maintenance efficiency.
• Train hourly employees in procedures and skills necessary to perform duties.
• Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process in work orders.
• Oversee the plant CMMS system, backlogs, and coordination of contractor services.
• Coordinate the plant preventive maintenance program and KPI reporting.
• Prepare daily schedules and conduct priority reviews for scheduling.
• Support special assignments and respond to outages or emergencies as needed.
