Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a Maintenance Multicraft to ensure safe, efficient operation of industrial equipment and facility systems. You will perform skilled mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoot PLC-based systems, and lead safety practices on the shop floor.

The role requires 2+ years in an industrial setting, familiarity with PLCs and electrical schematics, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or journeyman license preferred.
• 2+ years experience in industrial manufacturing or automated distribution center environment.
• Proficiency with digital multimeters, megohmmeters, and reading electrical blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety requirements while performing any mechanical or electrical work
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
• Knowledge of PLC ladder logic while troubleshooting plant equipment
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment safely
• Electrical Troubleshooting: diagnose and repair electrical faults up to 480V 3-phase systems, AC/DC drives, motors, and control panels
• Automation & PLCs: read electrical schematics, verify PLC inputs/outputs, replace faulty sensors or switches
• Mechanical & fluid power: maintain and repair conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics
• Preventive Maintenance: execute PM checklists and suggest improvements
• Safety Leadership: adhere to Lockout/Tagout and OSHA requirements
• Comply with safety policies and plant procedures
• Use PPE and stay aware of moving machinery and pinch points
• Promote safety-first culture through training and safe practices
