Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. The role requires strong electrical background, PLC knowledge, and the ability to inspect and diagnose production equipment daily.

Responsibilities include directing workers in repairs, installing components, welding, and ensuring safety guidelines are followed. Opportunity to supervise and develop assigned personnel while contributing to plant

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent
Technical or vocational certification preferred
Ability to read manuals and follow step-by-step instructions
Mechanical aptitude and tool usage skills required
Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry or related field preferred
Ability to document repairs and preventative maintenance

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned
Diagnose malfunctions and direct workers in repairs
Inspect production equipment daily and test malfunctioning machinery
Install and repair equipment and electrical components; test for proper function
Operate and maintain hand and power tools; weld and cut as needed
Ensure safety guidelines are followed and maintain clean work area
Supervise assigned workers, document attendance and performance
Perform other duties as needed
