Job summary

MPS Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Millwright for the Cleveland-Cliffs facility in Middletown, OH. This role maintains, repairs, installs, and dismantles machinery in an industrial setting with compliance to safety and environmental regulations.

The successful candidate will support installation and alignment of equipment, use hand and power tools, and ensure safe operation. A background check and drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a maintenance millwright or in a related field.
• OSHA 10 certification required prior to hire (may be obtained through a company-sponsored program).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of equipment operation and safe work practices.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers and maintenance personnel with installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and relocating machinery across various facilities.
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Assemble, install, and repair machinery components such as shafting, conveyors, and related equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Construct, install, and maintain machine foundations using hand tools and building materials (e.g., wood, cement, steel).
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, micrometers, squares, and plumb bobs to ensure proper operation.
• Bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise secure machinery to foundations or supporting structures to ensure safe and stable installation.
