Job summary

Allegiance Staffing is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and install machinery in an industrial setting in Oxford, Alabama.

You will start up boilers, inspect systems, repair air compressors, read meters, and ensure safety and 5S compliance. The role requires a degree or equivalent and 6–12 months related experience, plus ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a college or technical school.
• 6–12 months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The job requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and talking/listening.

Responsibilities

• Start up boiler, daily check and adjust controls; monitor charts.
• Check oil in air compressor and repair components such as valves and gaskets.
• Maintain pumps, gear boxes, fans, belts, bearings and related parts.
• Inspect and clean work area; operate forklift for loading/unloading.
• Fill out work orders, requisitions and obtain purchase signatures.
• Perform carpenter tasks with drills, saws and wrenches as needed.
• Assemble machines and secure to foundations; weld or rivet as required.
• Replace lights and perform basic electrical tasks; maintain safety procedures.
• Follow Environmental, Quality, Health, Safety & 5S policies and procedures.
