Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance (preferred).
• Strong mechanical skills, including rotating/reciprocating equipment.
• Able to use a multimeter.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, and non-code welding.
• Strong organization, computer, and communication skills (SAP preferred).
• Ability to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation, including weekends/holidays.
• 3+ years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a chemical plant, refinery, or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow IMS guidelines, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard personnel and environment.
• Perform routine service, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on industrial machinery and plant infrastructure.
• Conduct minor maintenance on plant instrumentation and electrical systems for reliability.
• Apply maintenance techniques to troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment including rotating machinery.
• Respond to emergency calls to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Safely operate forklifts and power/test tools for maintenance tasks.
• Perform non-code welding and fabricate parts to support operations.
• Read technical manuals, blueprints, P&IDs, and schematics to execute tasks.
• Keep work areas organized and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Work in teams to develop production process knowledge and adhere to policies.
