Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Rockwall, TX to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve equipment used in plastics and metals operations. The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills and the ability to work with production teams to meet the daily schedule.

The successful candidate will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, operate safely, and follow all company policies, with opportunities for overtime and growth.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.
• MUST have 3 years or more of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Effective communication skills, as well as strong problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative maintenance according to the schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
• Complete reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from equipment failures by repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Use troubleshooting skills to identify and solve equipment improvements.
• Complete machine tear down/repair and assembly.
• Work with team members and operators to ensure the daily production schedule is met.
• Experience in Structural Foam, Blow Molding, or Injection Molding.
• Conduct equipment inspections and verification of proper working conditions.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• Complete other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
