Job summary

International Paper in Atlanta Container (Forest Park, GA) is seeking a Mechanic B to perform routine and corrective maintenance in a high-demand manufacturing environment.

You will follow safety protocols, inspect and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems, and monitor boiler pressure while keeping detailed maintenance records. Overtime and alternate shifts are required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
• One to two years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance (e.g., lubrication, inspections, adjustments) and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems using appropriate tools, manuals, and schematics.
• Safely operate and monitor the facility boiler, ensuring steam pressure remains above 180 PSI.
• Accurately complete maintenance records and keep supervisors informed of equipment issues and progress.
• Work effectively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors to meet maintenance goals and support plant operations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall maintenance and production efficiency.
• Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.
