Job summary

NOV is seeking a second-shift maintenance technician to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance. You will support safe, reliable production and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a Texas facility.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, basic knowledge of mechanical operation, and the ability to follow maintenance manuals. Welding is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months industrial mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of principle of mechanical operation.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow maintenance manuals.
• Repair welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and ensure reliable production.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned failures and extend asset life.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor system issues quickly.
• Support production by minimizing downtime while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
• Inspect, install, and align industrial machinery, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and other components.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with OSHA regulations, safety policies, and lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce maintenance costs and increase OEE.

Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems during second shift to support safe, reliable, and efficient production. Troubleshoot equipment issues, complete preventive maintenance, and respond promptly to breakdowns to reduce downtime and keep production on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and ensure reliable production of drill pipe.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned equipment failures and extend asset life.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor system issues quickly and effectively.
• Support production by minimizing downtime while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Inspect, install, and align industrial machinery, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and other mechanical components.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to improve equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the facility's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce maintenance costs, improve equipment reliability, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
