Job summary
Commercial Metals in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of heavy industrial equipment across our facilities. You'll diagnose malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and work with SAP and QMOS to track actions and parts.
The role requires welding, fabrication, and strong teamwork in rotating shifts; safety-first mindset and ability to operate hoists and cranes.
Qualifications
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and knowledge.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine maintenance actions.
- Lead maintenance projects and coordinate with peers and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and upholds the safety culture.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues on industrial equipment.
- Use SAP and QMOS to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, and delays.
- Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information.
