Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a maintenance mechanic to support on-site equipment maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will read schematics and use basic hand and power tools, while ensuring safe operations in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma with post-secondary technical trade training and 5+ years of plant/equipment maintenance experience; welding is preferred, and overtime may be

Qualifications

• Must have equipment maintenance background.
• Five (5) or more year's plant / equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Welding preferred.
• Minimum requirement is high school graduate and post-secondary technical trade certificates desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment problems
• Troubleshoot systems and make necessary adjustments, corrections or repairs
• Call-in and coordinate outside repairs if needed
• Mentor and train lesser trained team members and assist in their advancement
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and walk or stand most of the shift and be able to work overtime as needed
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
• Make repairs in a timely fashion
• Work and perform safely with knowledge of OSHA standard industrial safety practices
