Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking an Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance technician in Charlotte, NC for a full-time, on-site role. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain AC/DC systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment while performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The position requires a safety-focused, self-starting individual with strong troubleshooting skills, able to work Wednesday–Friday and alternating Saturdays, with the physical ability to lift 15–50 lbs and operate

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Required to work on weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without accommodation.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without accommodation.
• Willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain AC/DC electrical systems ranging from 12VDC to 480VAC.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical drive systems, including gear reducers, pulleys, chains, sprockets, and belts.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, control valves, and pumping systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Utilize electrical schematics, maintenance documentation, and testing equipment to diagnose issues.
• Use multi-craft maintenance skills to support equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Operate shop tools such as welders, lathes, and milling machines as needed.
