Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I in Sioux Center, IA to keep production running by maintaining and repairing plant equipment. This hands-on role requires the ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned systems, with a 3rd shift from 10pm to 8am and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Minimum education includes vocational/technical training with 3–4 years in maintenance and a high school diploma; emergency response and safety procedures are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training in maintenance; 3–4 years preferred.
• Reading, writing and math skills are required.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular adjustments, calibrations and repairs.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly according to safety rules.
• Be the subject matter expert for the assigned plant area and equipment.
• Coordinate with planning for parts and repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret equipment blueprints and manuals for troubleshooting.
• Support safe and efficient plant operations.
