USG is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a dayshift position in Wisconsin. Starting hourly pay rate ranges from $27.45 to $42.70, depending on experience.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of motors, conveyors, and production equipment. Responsibilities include following diagrams and manuals, utilizing a plant work order system, and contributing to safety and continuous improvement initiatives within the Reliability department.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform assigned repair and servicing tasks.
• Willingness to work the assigned schedule.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules and programs.
• Meet the essential physical requirements of the position.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, conveyors, and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, manuals, and specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Become familiar with the plant work order system.
• Use hand and power tools, cranes/hoist, rigging equipment, welders, fall restraint.
• Work as part of a team to achieve required results.
• Actively participate in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
