Job summary

Healthcare Linen Services Group in Memphis, TN is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. This role includes start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

You will support the Maintenance Manager, help build a program to maximize uptime, perform PMs, and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience is required.
Punctuality and reliability is a must.
Honesty and exceptional work ethic.
Ability to solve problems independently.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintenance operations and keep plant premises and equipment safe.
Develop a maintenance program to optimize uptime, costs, and OSHA compliance.
Complete PMs; troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment; document the work.
Monitor equipment and coordinate with management to repair or replace as needed.
Monitor boilers and related equipment for proper operation.
Assist outside contractors with repairs and installations.
Apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility.
Maintain a neat and clean workspace and comply with company policies.
Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.
