Maintenance – Mechanic B

$36.40/hr

1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift available,with no guarantee of shift preference.

Job Description

Planning:

1. Work various shifts, weekends and overtime
2. Meet attendance schedules with dependability and consistency
3. Communicate with supervisors and other associates
4. Work within a team and take direction from supervisors
5. Understand and follow work and safety rules, operating instructions and procedures

Physical Action:

1. Work in a physically demanding, loud industrial manufacturing environment
2. Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 40 pounds
3. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and standing for long periods
4. Reach low and high ranges and exhibit normal balance and coordination
5. Use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects and manipulate controls
6. Walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces
7. Work on/around heavy moving equipment/large machinery, conveying and pipe finishing systems, and equipment
8. Work in an environment that may be indoors/outdoors, cold/hot, with exposure to dirt/dust/grit/fumes/chemicals and smoke. Selected Candidates will work in the area where molten iron is present
9. Hear, speak and use close and distance vision

Material, Facilities, and Location of Job:

1. Uses all maintenance materials
2. Uses all plant facilities and equipment
3. Works throughout plant site

Tools and Equipment Used:

1. Uses all tools and equipment needed to complete work

Qualifications

Industrial Maintenance experience preferred.
