Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC in Suffolk, VA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a stable manufacturing operation. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, equipment repair, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.

The position offers a 2nd Shift (2pm–midnight, Monday–Thursday) with pay between $30 and $35 per hour, dependent on experience. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, and support installations and

Qualifications

Experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read schematics, diagrams, equipment manuals and technical drawings.
Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment.
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair industrial production and material handling equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and equipment repairs.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment at the maintenance level, including faults, sensors, inputs/outputs, and equipment sequences.
Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, pumps, cylinders, valves, and related components.
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, shutdowns, and improvement projects.
Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
