Job Description

Piping Technology and Products is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
2. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop and welding equipment.
3. Knowledge of industrial automated related equipment - hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, pumps, conveyors, AC/DC motor controls and drives, control circuits, sensors, PLCs and read ladder logic diagrams, schematics and mechanical drawings.
4. Perform new machinery installations and relocations in the plant.
5. Maintenance of PLC's and control systems.
6. Ability to work from blueprints and schematics.
7. Troubleshooting various types of industrial machinery.
8. Must have the ability to do electronic troubleshooting, light welding, fabrication experience, Electrical and pneumatic schematics, motors, drives and gear boxes.
9. Demonstrated ability to perform electronic, mechanical and hydraulic repairs used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments.
10. Ability to perform rigging to move, locate, or relocate equipment using portable rigging and overhead cranes is desirable.
11. Ability to operate various pieces of mobile equipment including but not limited to fork trucks, man lifts, trucks.
12. Using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), you receive work orders, identify faulty equipment, and order parts and equipment to complete repairs.
13. Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionally with your customer as to important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion.
14. Acquiring new electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge, better positioning you for advancement.

Job Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, or military maintenance in a production or manufacturing environment is required.

Physical requirements:

• Lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Standing 8 or more hours per day.
• Walking off and on, 8 or more hours per day.
• Physical dexterity -- squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms.
• Grasping both hands, intermittently.
• Work Environment: Manufacturing facility -- exposed to various climate conditions, Noise controlled environment.
• Must have own tools.
