Functions:
To perform all work duties safely, as well as maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture.
Receive training as required.
Perform other duties/positions as required/assigned.
Tasks
Team Member is responsible for completing emergency work in assigned area, completing daily routines and preventative maintenance, completing work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Shift Supervisor or Lead Technician, signing out all inventory parts used, and entering notifications in SAP.
Troubleshoot machines when they break down.
Enter notifications into SAP from PM inspections and daily routines.
Complete all Safety and Maintenance level training as required.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or greater with assistance or mechanical lifting devices.
Frequently required to walk.
Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold.
Work environment may be very loud.
Requirements
1 year of industrial maintenance experience is required.
At least 12 months of continuous work history with the same employer in the last 18 months.
Recent graduates or students in school within the last 6 months should include this info under education notes.
Proficiency in power tools and basic understanding of industrial power tools like threaders, benders, etc.
Basic awareness of electricity and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of industry practices and terminology is preferred.
Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Proficiency or willingness to become proficient in SAP Maintenance.
Applicants will be considered for General Maintenance level openings. Pay level will be determined during the interview based on skills and experience.
Prior Tyson employees have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and can only be rehired up to 3 times.
