Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an experienced Maintenance Class A to install and maintain production machines at our Texas facility. The role requires training on first shift and provides opportunities for overtime on second and third shifts.

You will perform repairs, troubleshoot drives and controllers, and conduct preventative maintenance while following safety rules and company procedures. A strong focus on reliability and teamwork will help us keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Three years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience, including diagnosing and troubleshooting; preventative maintenance; lockout/tagout procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use
• Plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance classifications according to their abilities and limitations
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
