Job summary

UPS is seeking Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics to maintain a package handling facility. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance in a fast-paced, 24x7 operation with 1st–3rd shift availability.

Strong electrical background and ability to pass an electrical assessment are required. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, performing preventive maintenance, and welding to repair conveyors.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong electrical background
• Able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24x7 operation

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo drives, sensors, VFDs, encoders.
• Inspect and repair mechanical components like motors, belts, rollers, conveyors, bearings, and chains.
• Inspect and repair pneumatic systems (diverters, hoses, lubricators).
• Inspect and repair hydraulic equipment (hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps).
• Weld to repair conveyor supports and related structures.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on conveyors and power equipment.
