Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. seeks an industrial maintenance technician to diagnose, repair and maintain production machinery. You will analyze errors, repair and recalibrate equipment, and document maintenance activities on MP2 or MIS/ERP systems. The role requires willingness to work shifts and overtime in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

The position includes training on new equipment and adherence to SQF, GMP and safety guidelines while collaborating with operations and other departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler and utility experience.
• 1-2 year(s) prior industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to trouble-shoot electrical, hydraulic systems and pneumatic equipment.
• Experience reading electric schematics is a plus.
• SAP experience desired.
• Willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery to diagnose malfunctions using testing devices.
• Operate newly repaired machinery to verify repairs.
• Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain operating condition of industrial production equipment including hydraulic/pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, VFD/HMI/Servo control devices.
