Job Description

Giro Pack, Inc. is seeking a reliable Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the optimal functioning of all equipment and machines at our Vidalia, GA facility. The position is expected to start on 2 June 2025.

The responsibilities of the industrial maintenance mechanic include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery in a safe and timely manner. Candidates must be capable of performing efficient work on various equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic plays an essential role in supporting Giro Pack, Inc. in manufacturing and distributing packaging for the fruit and vegetable sector.

Job duties include:

• Adjusting and calibrating machinery and equipment
• Cleaning and lubricating machinery or equipment
• Detecting minor problems through basic diagnostics
• Disassembling equipment for repairs
• Moving equipment and machinery
• Performing tests to ensure machines run smoothly
• Reading technical manuals for controls and equipment understanding
• Repairing or replacing malfunctioning components
• Testing machinery to determine major repairs needed
• Assessing used parts with micrometers, calipers, and specifications
• Maintaining electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical knowledge through ongoing training
• Maintaining inventory of parts and supplies
• Ensuring a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations

Requirements and skills:

• Minimum two years of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience
• Certificate or diploma in a related field
• Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
• Deep knowledge of system maintenance
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented
• Proficient in reading blueprints, mechanical, and electrical prints
• Flexible schedule

Job details:
