Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in Lithonia, GA, is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. The role covers diagnosis, repair, and replacement of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

You will work as part of a team to perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a fast-paced production environment. The position requires 2+ years in industrial machinery maintenance; a technical degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.
• Production schedule: 3 shifts. Technicians are assigned by plant needs and seniority, with opportunities to change shifts when organizational or production schedules change.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance activities and answer breakdown calls in a production environment.
• Serve as a multicraft maintenance technician; training is provided to develop these skills.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Range: $25.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience.
• 1.5× pay over 8 hours and over 40, 1.5× pay Saturday, Sunday, holidays, and additional overtime over 8 hours on holidays.
• Paid Vacation: 1 week per calendar year (prorated during the initial year).
• Paid Holidays.
• Annual bonus based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
