Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Maintenance Technician — Industrial Electrical/Mechanical at the Lithonia, GA box plant. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

You'll work with a team to safely perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a production environment. This multi‑craft role includes training to develop additional skills, with first shift and 10–12 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• 2+ years of electromechanical experience.
• A technical degree in the mechanical or electrical trades.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Range: $25.83 – $42.58 per hour based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience.

• 1.5x Pay for Saturday and Sunday

Responsibilities

This position is based at the PCA Box Plant located in Lithonia, GA.

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

Work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance activities and answer breakdown calls in a production environment.

All Maintenance Technician positions are multi‑craft with training provided to develop these skills.

Initially on first shift, working 10‑12 hour shifts. As the plant grows, technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority, with opportunities to change shifts when organization or production schedules change.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• 2+ years of electromechanical experience.
• A technical degree in the mechanical or electrical trades.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary: $25.82 – $42.58 per hour.
• Annual bonus based on plant performance metrics.
• Paid vacation: 1 week per calendar year (ranging pro‑rata during the first year).
• Paid holidays.
