Job summary

Montebello Packaging Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Lebanon, KY to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. You will work to minimize downtime and ensure safety and quality standards across production lines.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, reading blueprints, and collaborating with electricians and operators. Overtime and off-shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• High school diploma or GED; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends or off-shifts as needed.
• Basic CMMS/maintenance logging computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on production machinery and equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors, pumps, belts, gears, bearings, and other equipment
• Dismantle machines and replace defective parts using hoists, hand tools, and power tools
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals
• Install new machinery and equipment, including rigging, alignment, and testing
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
• Collaborate with electricians, machine operators, and other maintenance personnel
• Perform welding, fabrication, and machining as required
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and proper PPE usage
• Assist with root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to reduce downtime
• Communicate with maintenance, quality, and production teams as necessary
• Participate in production meetings and communicate with team members about shift performance

Job Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment in a manufacturing facility. This includes production machinery, material handling systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and facility infrastructure. The role ensures minimal downtime and supports operational efficiency by performing preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on production machinery and equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors, pumps, belts, gears, bearings, and other equipment

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred
• 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machine shop tools
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces as needed
• Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills for maintenance logging (CMMS experience preferred)
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts as needed

Work Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, heat, noise, dust, and grease
• Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and lifting required
• Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots
