Job summary

Reworld Projects is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to manage planned, unplanned, and preventive maintenance ensuring safe and efficient operation of our industrial disposal processes.

You will perform preventive maintenance, investigate breakdowns with root-cause analysis, and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime while maintaining comprehensive records in our maintenance system.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to quickly obtain MA 1C/2C Hoisting License.
• Minimum 2–4 years in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime.
• Utilize root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages with cross-functional teams.
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and systems to minimize downtime and complete documentation.
• Use the defined maintenance documentation program to open/close work orders and manage parts.
• Repair and/or maintain production equipment including inspection, disassembly, and replacement as needed.
• Observe and diagnose equipment performance to identify malfunctions.
• Review maintenance reports to plan and modify activities.
• Inspect machinery for conformance with safety and performance standards.

About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime
• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages collaborating with various teams and stakeholders
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime and complete all required paperwork and documentation in the company's computerized maintenance documentation program
• Utilize Reworld's defined maintenance documentation program to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant.
• Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
• Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices
• Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
• Must possess or be able to quickly obtain MA 1C/2C Hoisting License (refer to state of MA for license requirements)
• Must be flexible to work on call, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required to meet company needs

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $73,807.00 - $101,445.00
