Techo-Bloc, a leading manufacturer of high-end pavers and concrete landscaping products, seeks an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Douglassville, PA. You will diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues across heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Daily tasks include repairing conveyors, aligning machinery, and installing components while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Heavy Industrial Maintenance with related certificates preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, belts, bearings, and augers.
• Lead hydraulic and pneumatic systems repairs including cylinders and valves.
• Perform stick welding and assist in fabrication for repair of heavy equipment.
• Minimize downtime by leading emergency responses and servicing conveyors and machines.
• Enter daily tasks and parts in the work order system.

Techo-Bloc is a leading manufacturer in high-end pavers and concrete landscaping products across North America. We're looking for dynamic Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to keep our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance.

In this position, you'll work with a variety of heavy industrial machinery, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs, and executing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Every day brings new challenges, requiring technical expertise, quick thinking, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Job Description

• Pay: $33-$42/hr base pay + year-end bonus
• $2/hr shift differential for hours worked 5pm-5am
• $85K-$107K average annual income based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5pm-5am

Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, and surrounding areas)

Position

Techo-Bloc is on the hunt for their next Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. Our technicians are highly proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting our production equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

You'll be hands-on repairing and maintaining heavy industrial equipment, including:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
• Leads troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps
• Stick welding in various positions, locations throughout the factory utilizing various types of joints
• Leads emergency breakdowns to minimize unscheduled downtime of production equipment.
• Splice, track, tension, align and replace components on conveyor systems
• Replacing wear parts by disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and refurbishing or replacing components. i.e.- gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, bearing, etc.
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, laser alignment tools and various other tools.
• Repair, install and dismantle heavy industrial production equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
• Enter daily tasks, parts used and time into work order system
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, load cells, switches, contactors, motors, etc.
• Reference technical documentation, electrical schematics, equipment manuals and service instructions to complete work accurately

Qualifications

• 3 + years' experience working in Heavy Industrial Maintenance. Technical degrees/certificates in welding, electro-mechanical, electric or related field preferred
• Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts
• Advanced stick welding and fabrication skills repairing heavy industrial equipment
• Basic understanding of motor controls, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and VFDs (variable frequency drives) is preferred
• Basic industrial electrical experience
• Experienced with rigging, hoisting, and equipment installation
• Experienced with precision alignment and fine adjustments
• Proficiency in precision measuring utilizing high-accuracy tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc. to verify tight tolerances in manufacturing
• Proficient with use of power tools and fabrication equipment. i.e. grinders, drills, welding, saws, press, bearing heaters, torch, etc.
• Experienced working with CMMS and MS Office Suite
