Job summary

O&K American Corp. in Seymour, IN seeks a Maintenance Leader with experience to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and controls.

The role covers mechanical, electrical, plumbing tasks, and related repairs to keep the site tidy and functional. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, manufacturing maintenance experience, and knowledge of HVAC, welding, and electrical systems; forklift/overhead crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, welding, and industrial electrical; mechanical experience a plus.
• Experience with hand and electrical tools.
• Experience operating forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to read and use technical manuals and drawings.
• Basic computer skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan equipment repair using drawings or verbal instructions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, test, disassemble, replace parts and reassemble equipment.
• Install/modify equipment, wire, and balance power distribution per code.
• Redesign circuits and document changes in drawings.
• Test and replace components; perform crane and machine repairs.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and supervise helpers.
• Assist in training departmental staff.
