Job summary

Ultipro in Kentucky seeks a maintenance supervisor/technician to direct and coordinate repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of industrial machines and equipment at our mill or plant. You will lead a team, prioritize work requests, ensure safety and GMP compliance, and communicate with vendors and engineering to resolve issues.

Some travel to local locations is required. A one-year certificate or equivalent experience is required; strong problem-solving, technical, and communication

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to perform basic math including geometry and algebra.
• Ability to follow written or diagrammed instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates maintenance, repair, and installation of machines and equipment.
• Directs activities of vendors and workers on facility maintenance and safety.
• Resolves maintenance problems with management, engineering, and QA.
• Leads shift briefings and communicates status of breakdowns and repairs.
• Inspects parts, measures with micrometers and gauges, and tests equipment after repairs.
• Sets up and operates metalworking tools and installs wiring and electrical components.
• Maintains safe practices and GMP compliance; enforces safety and quality standards.
• Initiates purchase orders for parts and equipment; coordinates with suppliers.
• Maintains flexibility for shifts ranging from 4–18 hours based on workload.
• Travels locally to Standlee locations for maintenance activities.
