Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to learn and advance alongside experienced maintenance technicians. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install equipment across the plant.

You will read diagrams and manuals, use hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement devices, and adhere to safety guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Flexibility with shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be enrolled in and pursuing a two (2) year industrial maintenance degree.
• Willing and able to work any shift, holiday, weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop knowledge in Industrial Maintenance with Maintenance Technicians.
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install equipment in compliance with plant policies and procedures.
• Work with machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic & hydraulic components, conveyors, and production line equipment.
• Read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications for installations.
• Use hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring devices and testing instruments.
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
