Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Maintenance Intern for our Caseyville Prepared Foods Plant (IL) with a $25.95 hourly pay. This role targets current students with knowledge in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, refrigeration, or automation.

Join a flagship expansion project and work across all shifts with a balance of on-site duties and a 3-day weekend every other week. You will install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, and related infrastructure while supporting GMP/SQF compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university or technical school pursuing a Maintenance-related degree or diploma.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP and SQF policies while performing duties.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair broken or worn parts on equipment.
• Modify equipment to meet manufacturing needs.
• Install new equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Perform limited masonry work and plumbing/woodwork as needed.
• Repair, maintain, and install electrical systems and fixtures.
• Measure, cut, bond, thread, and install electrical conduit.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Install new water, steam, and air piping runs.
• Install electrical runs to equipment.
• Support building and grounds maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
