Job summary

TCAT-Morristown is seeking an Industrial Maintenance/Mechanical Maintenance Associate Instructor to teach all phases of Industrial Maintenance Technology, including rigging, blueprints, lubrication, and machinery alignment. The role involves hands-on instruction and assessing student progress.

Responsibilities include managing student rotations, aiding recruitment and job placement, staying current in the field through professional development, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Industrial Technology or Industrial Maintenance preferred.
• Minimum of five years successful work experience in the Industrial Maintenance field.
• Electrical, PLC, Automation, and Robotics experience preferred.
• Evidence of potential ability in instruction; prior teaching experience preferred.
• Evidence of proficiency in oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage rotation of students
• Assist in recruitment and job placement of students
• Must be willing to remain current in the field by participating in professional development activities
• Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress
• Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports
• Maintain good public relations with business and industry
• Possess the communication/computer skills necessary to be an effective instructor
• Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude
• Participate in facility maintenance
