Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) invites applications for an Instructor to deliver applied technology instruction, mentor students, and support learning outcomes across programs related to electrical and industrial systems.

You'll prepare syllabi, manage records, participate in recruiting events, and uphold TSTC core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity while collaboratively engaging with staff and the community.

Qualifications

Verifiable work experience with industrial equipment.
Strong Electrical/programming skills.
Working knowledge of Electrical Motor Control Systems.
Working knowledge of Electrical Motor Control Schematics.
Working knowledge of Maintenance of Industrial equipment.
Working knowledge of Mechanical Power Transmission systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students. Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes utilizing a variety of creative/innovative techniques.
Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety and equipment security where applicable.
Advise students, collaborate with the Office of Student Success to support tutoring and retention.
Participate in related tours and recruitment events; assist in department/program planning for recruitment.
Demonstrates a willingness to be of service and exhibit professionalism with students, parents, employers, and the community.
