Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for the Madison Ham plant on A shift. The role requires weekend and holiday availability with overtime when needed.

You will keep machinery running, perform hydraulics, electrical, plumbing and welding tasks, and complete daily production documentation. You must be able to lift up to 61 lbs, climb ladders, and work in diverse plant environments with extreme temperatures. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months industrial maintenance experience required.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms.
• Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shifts on hard floors.
• Good communication with team members and management.
• Read and follow manuals to repair equipment safely.
• Pass post-offer health screening and background checks where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production by repairing and maintaining operating conditions.
• Perform hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance and related tasks.
• Set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation.
• Lifting occasional loads up to 61 lbs.
• Communicate with team and read manuals to repair equipment safely.
• Climb ladders and work from elevated platforms.
• Stand/walk 12-hour shifts on hard floors.
• Work in Harvest, Cut Converting, Rendering and Load-out areas with temperatures -30 to +90 degrees.
• Maintain and troubleshoot daily operational problems in equipment.
