Job summary

Poly-America, L.P. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team in Grand Prairie, TX. The role supports electrical and electronic systems across manufacturing machinery and related equipment.

You will troubleshoot, identify improvements for safety and reliability, and manage control software. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required plus 3+ years' hands‑on experience in PLCs, power distribution, instrumentation, and AutoCAD schematics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Engineering Technology.
At least 3 years hands‑on troubleshooting experience.
Experience with PLC, three‑phase power distribution, instrumentation, and VFDs/motors.
Proficient in creating electrical schematics with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Provide troubleshooting expertise to maintenance personnel.
Identify opportunities to improve safety, maintainability, reliability, and operability and execute small projects from conception through installation.
Specify electrical components to optimize standardization and reliability.
Assist in improving and executing the maintenance electrician training program.
Manage machine control software applications.
