Job summary

The City of Glendale's Water Services Department is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to perform journey-level electrical work at water and wastewater facilities and remote sites. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

You will work with medium voltage equipment up to 15kV, adhere to NFPA 70E and NEC standards, and provide on-the-job training to junior crew members while supporting 24-hour operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized four-year electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
• Two years of experience as a skilled electrician working on medium voltage equipment.
• Must possess an AZ Driver’s License and be able to obtain safety clearances.

Responsibilities

• Installs, alters, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring systems and equipment in industrial environments up to 15kV.
• Maintains and repairs electrical equipment and drives protective systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance documentation and duties.
• Operates aerial equipment and mobile lifts for installation and repair.
• Troubleshoots defects to determine root cause and corrective action.
