Job summary

McWane Ductile – NJ is seeking an experienced electrical technician to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures at our New Jersey facility. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and quality workmanship.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and an Associate Degree in Electrical Technologies or an approved electrical apprenticeship. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read blueprints are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate Degree in Electrical Technologies (or equivalent) or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Advanced electrical knowledge with ability to program and install devices used in the plant.
• Ability to read policies and procedures in English and communicate moderately in English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment to locate and correct issues.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems and continuity to ensure safety and compliance with codes.
• Plan layout and installation based on job specs and local codes.
• Follow blueprints to determine wiring locations and equipment placement and ensure safety.
