Job summary

McWane Ductile New Jersey Plant is seeking a Facilities Grounds Person to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment across the plant and surrounding areas. You will work both indoors and outdoors, enduring hot and cold conditions and high noise levels while supporting production teams.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and applying basic maintenance skills (mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical). Full-time with competitive benefits and retirement plan options are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Hands-on maintenance skills in basic mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical trades.
• Able to operate high-lift, scissor lift, and forklift.
• Comfort working in hot, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
• Strong teamwork and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and remove debris from plant grounds.
• Monitor and maintain plant health.
• Trim hedges, shrubs and small trees.
• Inspect grounds for safety hazards and perform repairs.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment.
• Assist production managers in housekeeping efforts.
• Maintain exterior sidewalks and safety walks.
• Prepare sites for events and functions.
• Perform snow removal and de-icing.
• Operate high-lift, scissor lift and forklift.
• Carry out general tasks as directed by facilities management.
• Adhere to health, safety and compliance regulations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Adapt to changing shifts and learn new duties.
