Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a maintenance technician to service and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a poultry processing environment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical Level I certification (pass); Level II certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial machinery maintenance and repair
• Ability to read/understand blueprints, drawings and schematics; intermediate math and computer skills
• Ability to operate/use basic hand and power tools; communicate in English; work unsupervised and flexible shifts

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, conveyors, pumps, steam and electrical systems using blueprints and schematics.
• Identify root causes of complex mechanical/electrical issues and perform repairs with welding, fabrication, pipefitting and process control knowledge.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and assist with maintaining blueprints and operating manuals.
• Respond to unsafe conditions, notify supervisors, and request assistance as needed.
• Train entry level employees and perform other duties as assigned.
