Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Electrician ensures optimal operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment, following technical manuals and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventory, anticipate needs, and verify receipt.
- Conduct electronic inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and replacements independently.
- Minimize downtime by advising on preventive maintenance and monitoring compliance.
- Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Handle electrical and electronic tasks such as low voltage panel repairs, PLC programming, and motor speed control.
- Detect sensor, actuator, or drive abnormalities.
- Update maintenance systems and generate reports.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, automation, and electromechanical issues on industrial equipment, cranes, building electrical systems, and office installations.
- Perform or assist with electrical installations using EMT, rigid, and liquid-tight conduits, including wiring, disconnects, and junction boxes per NEC standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with production supervisors.
- Contribute to the development of preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial electrician experience, especially with low voltage controls and 3-phase systems.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with PLCs and control systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel and work weekends or holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing, tool use, and repetitive motions involving bending and stooping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday with Saturday or Sunday shifts.
- Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday shifts (46 hours).
- Limited overtime available.
