Job summary

Jobot in Massachusetts seeks a Journeyman Maintenance Electrician to join a highly automated facility. You will troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, repair electrical systems, and support predictive maintenance for optimum performance.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain highly automated production equipment and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Install and bend EMT and rigid conduit (½"–2").
  • Diagnose and repair motors, drives, control panels, and automation systems.
  • Support PLC-controlled production lines and electrical schematics.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance records; promote safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain highly automated production equipment, electrical systems, and PLC-controlled machinery throughout the facility.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.
  • Install, run, thread, and bend EMT and Rigid conduit (½"–2), including offsets, saddles, kicks, and 90-degree bends.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical circuits, motors, drives, control panels, and industrial automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production lines and identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Support AC/DC motor controls, VFDs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic controls using wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, including voltmeters, ohmmeters, and megohmmeters, to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and equipment records accurately.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and best maintenance practices.
Qualifications
  • Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a maintenance electrician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing automated manufacturing equipment and production systems.
  • Proven experience running, threading, and bending EMT and Rigid conduit (½"–2), including offsets, saddles, kicks, and 90's.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, control panels, electrical networking, and automation systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and high-speed production lines.
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC motors, VFDs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic controls.
  • Proficient with electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment, including voltmeters, ohmmeters, and megohmmeters.
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems.
