Job summary

Apprentices work with ladders and machinery, start in the parts room, and advance through preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. The role requires high school diploma and enrollment in a tech program; starting pay is $21.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and must be enrolled in a Technical/Trade or College program in industrial maintenance or related field
• Industrial maintenance apprentice with ability to rotate across bakery areas
• Must be able to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around machinery

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and scheduled maintenance
• Respond with team to equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown
• Assist in identifying wear and assist in troubleshooting and replacing mechanical drive and conveyor components
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by municipal/county/state agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and related equipment
