Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Denton, TX, invites applicants to join the Industrial Maintenance Apprenticeship program. This hands-on development track trains you to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will rotate through bakery areas, climb ladders up to 20 ft, lift up to 50 lb, and assist with preventive maintenance, equipment stops, and replacement of drive and conveyor components under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and must be enrolled in a Technical/Trade or College program in industrial maintenance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage.
• Assist with assigned preventive maintenance tasks and scheduled maintenance.
• Respond with team to equipment stoppage or mechanical breakdown.
• Assist in identifying mechanical wear and assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and replacing mechanical drive and conveyor components.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including attendance and operating rules.
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment.
